An invitation for you…

Welcome to our website. We’d like to thank you for popping by and take this opportunity to invite you to join us for our public worship services in the coming days. They are open to all and all are welcome.
Sunday worship is a key expression of our love for God and we believe that when we gather together, Jesus is with us and among us. This coming Sunday – 23rd June – there are services at both of our Churches. We hope that you too might be able to join us. The Bible reading at both of our services this week will be from Mark 4.35-41.

Christ Church
We meet at 11am and this Sunday we will be sharing Communion together. During the service we will also be offering prayers for healing – either for yourself or someone who know who is in need of prayer at this time.

St Peter’s Church
We have a service of Holy Communion this Sunday which is especially suited for families. The service begins at 9.30am and will be followed by free refreshments. We hope you might be able to join us.

Marking 80 years since D-Day

This week our priest in charge was honoured to be involved in the village commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. As padre to the Mountsorrel branch of the Royal British Legion, Revd Colin Resch led prayers at the wreath laying ceremony in the Mountsorrel Memorial Centre attended by the Mayor of Charnwood Dr Julie Bradshaw MBE. Borough & Parish Councillors, invited guests and a delgation from our twinned village of Montsorreau in France were also present for the ceremony. It was a truly memorable occasion and a fitting tribute to the memory of the men and women who gave so much on that day to protect the freedom of our society.

Sunday worship is a key expression of our love for God and we believe that when we gather together, Jesus is with us and among us. This coming Sunday – 16th June – there are services at both of our Churches. We hope that you too might be able to join us.

Christ Church
We meet at 11am for a special celebration service on Father’s Day. We would welcome you all to join us for a service that begins with a delicious bacon cob and fresh coffee. Then, during our service, we will be creating the perfect man (if there is such a thing) before hearing what God might have to say on the matter. Our service will be relaxed and informal so please do join us if you can.

St Peter’s Church
If you are looking for something a little more formal, join us at St Peter’s Church at 6pm for a service of Evening Prayer (also known as Evensong). Our readings this evening will be from 1 Samuel 15.34 – 16.13 and 2 Corinthians 5.6-17. This service will be followed by free tea/coffee, so do stay to chat afterwards and maybe chat about the theme of our service.
