An invitation for you…
Welcome to our website. We’d like to thank you for popping by and take this opportunity to invite you to join us for our public worship services in the coming days. They are open to all and everyone is welcome.
Our gathered worship is a key expression of our love for God and we believe that when we gather together, Jesus is with us and among us. This coming Sunday (22nd March) there are services in both of our Churches. We would love to extend a welcome to you even if you have never been to Church before or if it has been a while since you have been with us.
Christ Church
At Christ Church, we meet for Sunday Worship each week at 11am. Our services are suitable for people of all ages and you can be assured of a warm welcome whether you are new to our Church or if you’ve been coming along since… well, for ever. We offer a blend of modern worship that we think you will enjoy. Come on your own, with a friend or with your family. Parents, bring your children; children, bring your grown-ups.
If you’re new to Church, just let someone know when you arrive and we will guide you through the service and answer any questions you might have. There’s always good coffee on hand (other drinks are available) and a biscuit or two. So do come and join us.
This week we will be welcoming Winnie into the Church at her baptism and look forward to worshipping with her wider family and friends. Our Bible Reading this week will be John 11.1-45.
St Peter’s Church
Join us at St Peter’s for a service of Holy Communion using liturgy from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. Beginning at 9.30am, this traditional service includes hymns that are often led by a small choir. Whether you are new to Church or have been attending for many years, you will find that the words and music draw you close to the living God in worship and adoration.
Our Bible readings this week will be Romans 8.6-11 and John 11.1-45. The service will be led by our Vicar, Colin Resch and our preacher will be our Associate Minister, Mel Rowley.
After the conclusion of our service, do stay to join us for tea and coffee served in the Antill Vestry at the back of Church when you will have the opportunity to chat to other members of the congregation and make new friends.
