Christianity Explored

We’re about to begin a new Christianity Explored course and would love to extend a warm welcome to anyone who would like to find out more about the Christian faith.

During this short course, you will learn some of the basics of the Christian faith and have the opportunity to ask questions. Because each course has just a few participants, you can ask the questions in a safe space with no fear of anything being off limits.

Find out more by following the Christianity Explored link on the menu above.

Nativity Service

Our Nativity Service at St. Peter’s Church is this Wednesday at 11.00am. There are parts for everyone, so do come along and join in, or just come to watch. If you would like to take part please come a little earlier so we can sort a costume for you, or please bring your own, we can’t have too many shepherds, angels, wise men or women. 10.30 would be perfect. If there are any shepherds, or angels willing to join in, it would really help, as there could be a number of smaller shepherds and angels that might need some controlling!

Light Party

We do hope that those who joined us on Monday evening enjoyed doing crafts, eating toast and playing some silly games. Well done to those who didn’t mind getting either wet or covered in flour. Many thanks to those from the congregation who came along to help.

Ukraine Concert

A huge thank you to all who attended and supported our Concert for Ukraine. A varied programme of music and song including input from a Ukranian Church Choir all contributed to us raising £1000 for Ukranian relief charities.

Special thanks to all the performers who gave their time and talents completely free of charge including
Jennifer Partridge, Glenys Roberts, Michael Lessiter, John Strange and others.

Church Open

Following the announcement of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, I can confirm that our church buildings will be open for prayer from 9am Friday morning 9th September our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this very difficult time

Long live the king!

Thoughts and Prayers for Her Majesty the Queen

I was concerned to hear of doctors’ worries for the health of our Queen. Please join me in praying for her and her family at this difficult time.

Here is a prayer that you may find useful at this time:
O God, who providest for thy people by thy power,
and rulest over them in love: Vouchsafe so to bless thy
Servant our Queen, that under her this nation may be wisely governed, and thy Church may serve thee in all godly quietness;
and grant that she being devoted to thee with her whole heart,
and persevering in good works unto the end,
may, by thy guidance, come to thine everlasting kingdom;
through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord,
who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost,
ever one God, world without end. Amen.

Craft Group – Cancelled 18 July

Due to the very high temperatures expected this coming Monday, and for the safety of those who usually attend, we have taken the decision to cancel the craft group session on Monday 18th July.
