Drop in to our weekly coffee morning every Friday at Christ Church from 10am – 12noon. Come for half an hour; come for the whole two hours – we don’t mind. You will be assured of a very warm welcome, home-made cakes, and the opportunity to meet and make new friends.

Today is Palm Sunday and we recall Jesus entering Jerusalem riding on a donkey. The service is led by Colin and Liz Resch and is especially suitable for people of all ages. During our worship today, we will share Holy Communion (bread & wine) remembering the Last Supper when Jesus took bread and wine and shared them with his disciples asking that they continue to do this in remembrance of him.
You can be assured of a warm welcome whether you are new to our Church or if you’ve been coming along since… well, for ever. We offer a blend of modern worship that we think you will enjoy. Come on your own, with a friend or with your family. Parents, bring your children; children, bring your grown-ups.
If you’re new to Church, just let someone know when you arrive and we will guide you through the service and answer any questions you might have. There’s always good coffee on hand (other drinks are available) and a biscuit or two. So do come and join us.

Passover Fellowship Meal, Maundy Thursday, 7pm
This year, we will be celebrating a Passover Meal on Maundy Thursday (17th April) at Christ Church for members of our Mountsorrel Churches – St Peter’s & Christ Church.
Those who came last time found it to be a wonderful occasion. Based on the traditional Jewish Passover Meal, we journey back to the time of Jesus and see how he might have celebrated the last supper with his disciples. The main course of the meal is traditionally
roasted lamb so not suitable for vegetarians (a vegetarian option will only be available by prior request).
We start at 7pm and enjoy a wonderful evening of fellowship and food together. To ensure that we prepare sufficient food, it is essential that you book by adding your name to the sign-up list in either Church
Wine forms a central part of the meal too so please do not drive unless you have to (although we will have a non-alcoholic alternative available).
We will need help with preparing the food so please contact Colin Resch if you would be willing to serve in this way.
