Primary Sports

We’d only just finished clearing up from Messy Play when it was time to welcome our next group of visitors to Primary Sports with Ben from MegaStrikers. There were some great activities for everyone to join in with including golf, darts, nerf, dodgeball and relay races. Ben was great and everyone left having had a good time. Here’s some pictures of what went on:

Messy Play

Monday morning rolled around and we opened the doors of Christ Church to the youngest members of our community with our special Under Fives Outer Space Messy Play. It was a great chance for youngsters to come in and have fun without worrying about the mess – in fact the messier the better as proved by these pictures:

St Peter’s open for Revival

St Peter’s Church opened its doors wide to welcome visitors during this year’s annual Mountsorrel Revival festival. Visitors were able to come in and enjoy a moment of peace and quiet in the Church and garden. There was a demonstration of bell ringing with the opportunity for our guests to ‘have-a-go’. Many took the opportunity to try their hand. We also had garden games, free refreshments (including some lovely cakes baked by our vicar), hand made cards for sale and a book/dvd sale.

Church members also joined the parade as part of the Churches Together in Mountsorrel.

We were busy all day and it was such a joy to see so many people come and visit us – including some for whom this was their first time at St Peter’s.

Congratulations

Our love and congratulations go to Simon and Laura who were married at Christ Church over the Bank Holiday weekend. The ceremony was just perfect and the rain that was forecast held off long enough for a perfect day.

Confirmation

It was such a delight to present Mike for confirmation at a service held on 18 May 2025 at All Saints Thorpeacre. Bishop Saju presided over preceedings and you can see Mike (3rd from the left) with Bishop Saju and the other candidates in this picture. Congratulations Mike.
