Christ Church main service at 11am
1st Sunday of the month – In service activities
4th Sunday of the month – Small group in Bower Room
Twice a month we have youth specific activities during our main Sunday service. On the 1st Sunday of the month, our young people gather at the back of church for activities to help them engage and reflect on what is being said in the main service. There is often some questions linked with the Bible reading, prayer activities, and a creative response to the morning’s message, as well as space to complete activites in their Rooted jounal if they have one.
The 4th Sunday of the month our young people head out to the Bower Room after the first hymn for a time together to dig into the Bible and ask lots of questions. This is a space where we hope to understand the Bible a little better, to learn how the different parts of it all fit together and how we can relate it to our own lives. You are welcome to bing your own Bible or use one of ours.
The remaining weeks are spent within the main church service. The 2nd week of the month is our all age worship service where we sit round tables for an informal service where everyone gets envolved one way or another. This is a service full of activity; silly games, dramas, action songs and even the odd quiz or two! This is a service where sitting still and being quiet are practically impossible and participation is very much encouraged.
Our remaining services do not have any specific youth provision. They are more than welcome to join in with the rest of the congregation and have the opportunity to serve by assisting with refreshments, reading the Bible, leading prayers or supporting our AV team with the screen and sound system.
