Christmas Tree Festival
This year alongside our traditional Christmas trees we are also inviting individuals to create a decorative star.
What better way to start the Christmas festivities than wandering around the beautifully decorated Church and sharing the experience with family and friends.
There will of course be the opportunity to enjoy a drink and a tasty treat, with a warm Christmas punch added to the menu; as well as a small gift shop should you need a final stocking filler. If that isn’t enough, there will be a service amongst the trees on the Sunday morning at 11am.
Opening Times
Friday 6th December – 10am – 4pm
Saturday 7th December – 10am – 4pm
Sunday 8th December – 1pm – 4pm
Monday 9th December – Open to Schools by appointment

Christmas Trees
We are accepting trees, up to 6ft in height, from businesses and community groups decorated in a theme of your choice. We are asking that any lights are mains powered where possible.
The Church will be open on Wednesday evening (6pm – 8.30pm) and during the day on Thursday (10am – 4pm) for you to set up the trees and again on the following Tuesday (2pm – 7pm) for you to collect your tree.
As in previous years we are asking businesses to pay £15 for their tree. The £15 fee can be paid by cheque payable to PCC of Christ Church or by bank transfer to sort code: 40-52-40, account number: 00013189 please quote the reference ‘CTF’ together with your business name. To book, please complete the form below.
Shining Stars
This year we are challenging you to create a decorative star. Be as creative as you like, and you may include battery lights if you wish. Please ensure that they are no larger than 12″ freestanding or suitable for hanging.
These will be judged by our specially selected panel of judges with prizes being awarded to the best ones. There is no charge for star entries.
If you would like to reserve a place for a tree and/or star please complete the form below no later than Friday 15th November
Setting up
We will be open for setting up your trees and dropping off your stars on
Wednesday 4th December 5pm-8:30pm
Thursday 5th December 10am-4pm
When you get there there will be a table waiting for you to set up with the name of your organisation on it. This year we would kindly ask you to create a name card for you group/organisation and you may wish to include a little about who you are or what your group does. We hope that this will encourage others to get involved and be more aware of what is happening in the village. You are also welcome to leave a few leaflets under your tree for people to take away with them or details about when and where you meet.
Please remember to take any packaging with you as we do not have anywhere to store it over the weekend.
Collecting items at the end
Once the festival has come to an end, Christ Church will be open on Tuesday 10th December between 2pm and 7pm for collecting your trees and stars.
