Pub Walk

Tuesday evening and the temperature started to cool as we gathered in the Sorrel Fox for the start of our Walk. Suitably sustained for the journey ahead, we made the hour-long walk to The Navigation Inn at Barrow-upon-Soar where we paused for refreshment. After a quick drink, we took the slightly shorter walk back to Mountsorrel finishing at The Swan where we took advantage of the hospitality on offer. We were shocked to see evidence of the wild fires that had been burning earlier in the week and even on that same day and it reminded us to be cautious in order to prevent widespread damage.
