An invitation to join us for Harvest Festival
Welcome to our website. We’d like to thank you for popping by and take this opportunity to invite you to join us for our public worship services in the coming days. They are open to all and all are welcome.
Our gathered worship is a key expression of our love for God and we believe that when we gather together, Jesus is with us and among us. This coming Sunday (21st September) we meet together to thank God for his generosity to us at our Harvest Festival services.
We will celebrate our Harvest Festival in both of our Churches and you will be most welcome to join with us – even if you’ve never been to our Church before.

Christ Church
Our Harvest Festival service at Christ Church begins at 11am and everyone is encouraged to bring a token gift as a ‘thank you’ to God for the harvest. Our gifts will be donated to the Soar Valley Food Project which operates a Food Bank here in Mountsorrel. In particular, gifts of biscuits, breakfast cereals, snacks, tinned meat would be most useful right now.
During the service, we will share together in Holy Communion (Bread & Wine). After the service, you are invited to stay for tea/coffee which is served in the Bower Room.
St Peter’s Church
At St Peter’s we will celebrate our Harvest Festival within the context of a traditional service of Evening Prayer (also called Evensong). This traditional form of worship enables us to draw close to God through words and music.
As with Christ Church, you are invited to bring gifts of non-perishable food to share with those in need through the work of the local food bank. Our service will be followed by refreshments served in the vestry.
