Teatime Church

Teatime Church is held on the 3rd Sunday of each month, 4pm at St Peter’s Church. We enjoy a short (no more than 30 minutes) service suitable for families with children, and then have a sandwich tea together.

Our services include fun action songs, activities that involve the children moving around, hearing from the bible and a prayer activity for each family to do together. These services are very informal and relaxed, we deliberately include movement and interaction so there is no expectation for children to be still and silent throughout the service.

Our first teatime church was lots of fun and involved hide and seek with snakes and stones, knock, knock jokes, a playdough prayer activity and some great action songs as we thought about the passage from Matthew chapter 7 – ‘Ask, seek, knock’.
