Church Open

Following the announcement of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, I can confirm that our church buildings will be open for prayer from 9am Friday morning 9th September our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this very difficult time

Long live the king!

Thoughts and Prayers for Her Majesty the Queen

I was concerned to hear of doctors’ worries for the health of our Queen. Please join me in praying for her and her family at this difficult time.

Here is a prayer that you may find useful at this time:
O God, who providest for thy people by thy power,
and rulest over them in love: Vouchsafe so to bless thy
Servant our Queen, that under her this nation may be wisely governed, and thy Church may serve thee in all godly quietness;
and grant that she being devoted to thee with her whole heart,
and persevering in good works unto the end,
may, by thy guidance, come to thine everlasting kingdom;
through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord,
who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost,
ever one God, world without end. Amen.

Craft Group – Cancelled 18 July

Due to the very high temperatures expected this coming Monday, and for the safety of those who usually attend, we have taken the decision to cancel the craft group session on Monday 18th July.

Please pass the word around those who normally attend.

If you want to know more about yourself and your Christian faith, then sign up for the Journey In Faith Course beginning with an introductory session on Saturday 24th September.

All Age Service

We do hope you will be able to join us at Christ Church on the 2nd Sunday of the month for our all age service. This is a relaxed family friendly service with a mix of worship music, prayers, reflection and activities. For our smallest visitors we have a play mat with some toys available.

You are welcome to stay afterwards to chat over a drink

We look forward to seeing you there.

Fun@4

At Fun@4 on Sunday, we enjoyed lots of activities on the theme of the Queen’s Jubilee. Helen, who can (just) remember the actual Coronation brought lots of interesting things for us to look at and told us of her memories including going to a neighbours house to watch it on their black & white television!

Look out for the bunting we created on Jubilee weekend!
