Almost sixty people enjoyed a fantastic evening of Chips and Bingo on Monday evening. Prizes were won throughout the evening and, after eating our fill of hot chips, the final game of the night was to win a hamper full of goodies. Congratulations to all our winners.
Our Summer 23 week of activities got off to a fantastic start on Monday 14 August with a host of babies and toddlers joining us ‘Under the Sea’ for our Under 5’s Messy Play. Here’s just a couple of photos from the morning to give you a sense of what they were doing.

One of our Churchwardens, David, and his wife Karen recently visited the Church of St Michael’s and All Angels in Mbape – just on the outskirts of Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. The service included some English included especially for their benefit. Musical accompaniement was by drum and maracas. Julius is the Rector and the service was taken by Rev Nyano the assistant priest. Attached to the Church is a large church-run school with 1200 pupils. Here are some of the congregation. Karen is pictured second from the left.
It was a real joy and privilege to formally welcome Logan into our Church family at his baptism on Sunday 9th July.
Together with his parents and godparents, he made his profession of faith during our All Age Worship service. The weather was great, so we stepped outside of the Church where our baptism pool was ready and waiting. After the water had been blessed, Logan took a deep breath and said goodbye to his old life and stepped into a life-long walk with Jesus.

It was a joy today to celebrate with Emily and Lee as they tied the knot at Christ Church.
May you have many happy years together.
Easter morning is always a reason to celebrate, but this year perhaps more than others. We were overjoyed to be welcoming six candidates for baptism and five for confirmation.
The service was presided over by Bishop Saju, the bishop of Loughborough. The candidates included two generations of one family and three generations of another.
Easter has always been a traditional day for baptisms to take place within the Church.
Some of the candidates spoke of how they came to faith and the difference that knowing God in their lives has made. They spoke of how their faith has strengthened them when they have been through, and continue to go through, times of difficulties.
May we congratulate all of our candidates and encourage you to “fight valiantly as a disciple of Christ against sin, the world and the devil and remain faithful to Christ to the end of your life.”
