This is your invitation to join us

I would love to extend an invitation to you to join us in one or both of our Churches this coming Sunday 27th August for our Sunday Worship.

At St Peter’s Church, 9.30am, there will be a service of Holy Communion particularly aimed at the whole family.

At Christ Church, 11am, there will be a service of Morning Prayer with baptisms and we look forward to welcoming Xavier, Ceddie and Maeve along with their families and friends as we celebrate and worship God together.

Both services will be followed by free refreshments, so do stay for a chat afterwards if you’re not rushing off elsewhere.

I hope to see you there. Every blessing, Colin Resch.

Summer 23 has finally arrived

Yes, our fabulous week of activities has finally arrived. We’ve been planning, plotting and scheming for months and now, all our hard work is done and the fun can begin.

Check out our Summer 23 webpage for all the details of our free activities.

There are over 2000 free tickets available across eighteen different events during the week. Many are suitable for children, some are designed specifically for youth and there are a couple aimed at adults only. Whatever you like to do, we think there is something for you. So take a look and grab a free ticket before they all go.

Welcome to Mountsorrel Churches

I’m glad you’ve found our website. I hope you enjoy looking around and find out all about us. If you want to know more, do send a message via the contact us page.

This coming weekend the whole village will be welcoming visitors for the annual Mountsorrel Revival taking place on Sunday 13th August. The service will be followed by free tea/coffee so do stay for a chat if you are able to do so.

St Peter’s will then re-open at 11am serving refreshments for the community until 4pm as part of Mountsorrel Revival.

I do hope we get the chance to meet you at the weekend. Every blessing, Colin Resch.

Hello & Welcome

I’m glad that you’ve found your way to our website. It would be great to meet with you in person and this Sunday, 30th July, presents the perfect opportunity.

Welcome to our Church website. We hope it gives you a flavour of what our Church is like. But we’d love to welcome you in person to our Sunday Worship and we’ve got some great services planed for Sunday 9 July.

Our Sunday Worship on begins with a service of Holy Communion at St Peter’s Church starting at 9.30am. The service will use words from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. After the service there will be refreshments served with opportunity for getting to know one another.

An invitation to join us

This coming Sunday is Father’s Day and we will be marking this with a special Cafe Church service at Christ Church, 11am. Bacon rolls will be served to all and tea/coffee will be available throughout the service. Come and join us for this relaxed act of worship during which we will thank God, our heavenly Father, for the example of fatherhood he gives to us. We will thank him for the love our own fathers have shown to us; we will remember our own fathers who are no longer with us; we will pray for all those whose relationships with their own fathers was far from perfect and for whom this day is difficult.

On Sunday evening, we gather at St Peter’s Church, 6pm for a service of Evening Prayer (Evensong) using the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer.

I do hope you will be able to come along to either of these services and I look forward to seeing you there.
With every blessing, Colin Resch.
