A welcome to Harvest Festival

Welcome to our website. We’d like to thank you for popping by and take this opportunity to invite you to join us for our public worship services. They are open to all and everyone is welcome.
Our gathered worship is a key expression of our love for God and we believe that when we gather together, Jesus is with us and among us. This coming Sunday (20 September) there are services in both of our Churches celebrating Harvest Festival. We would love to extend a welcome to you even if you have never been to Church before or if it has been a while since you have been with us.

Christ Church
At Christ Church, the service will be suitable for people of all ages with a great mix of traditional and contemporary music. There will be refreshments served throughout with activities for everyone to join in with.

St Peter’s Church
At St Peter’s, we will celebrate Harvest with a traditional service of Evening Prayer (also known as Evensong). After the service, we will share together in a Bring and Share Supper, so you are encouraged to bring a dish of food to share with others.

As we thank God for his generosity in giving us all things, we think of those who have less than we do and you are encouraged to bring some non-perishable food that we can donate to the local food-bank to help those in need and those going through a time of crisis. The foodbank is always in need of tinned meats and boxes of cereals, so please bring those if you can. But whatever you can spare will be gratefully received.
