An invitation for you…

Welcome to our website. We’d like to thank you for popping by and take this opportunity to invite you to join us for our public worship services in the coming days. They are open to all and everyone is welcome.
Our gathered worship is a key expression of our love for God and we believe that when we gather together, Jesus is with us and among us. This is Holy Week and there are services in both of our Churches. We would love to extend a welcome to you even if you have never been to Church before or if it has been a while since you have been with us.

Christ Church
We meet each morning this week for a short service of Morning Prayer at 9am. This is a great way to begin the day and you would be most welcome to join us.

On Good Friday, our regular coffee morning gathering will have the added bonus of Hot Cross Buns.

On Easter Day, we will have a special service suitable for all the family which begins at 11am.

St Peter’s Church
At 7pm on Maundy Thursday we will have a service of Holy Communion using liturgy from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. This traditional service will also include the opportunity for individuals to receive a symbolic foot washing if they wish to do so. At the conclusion of our service, do stay as the Communion Table is ‘stripped’ and made bare in readiness for Good Friday.

On Good Friday, we meet for Family Worship at 10am and we will take time during this service to build our Easter garden.

Later that afternoon, at 2pm, we gather for An Hour Before The Cross: a service of Bible Readings and Silence as we journey again with Jesus Christ the final hours of his passion. The readings and prayers are intersperced with times of silence to allow time for reflection and personal prayer. This wonderful time together reminds us of the sacrifice that Jesus made through his suffering and death on the cross. The service concludes in silence and the congregation are invited to dwell in that place for as long as they desire.

On Easter Day, we gather in celebration for a service of Holy Communion at 9.30am.
