An invitation to join us…

Welcome to our website. We’d like to thank you for popping by and take this opportunity to invite you to join us for our public worship services in the coming days. They are open to all and everyone is welcome.
Our gathered worship is a key expression of our love for God and we believe that when we gather together, Jesus is with us and among us. This coming Sunday (22nd February) there are services in both of our Churches and we would love to extend a welcome to you even if you have never been to Church before or if it has been a while since you have been with us.

Christ Church
We gather for Sunday Worship each week at 11am.
Our services are suitable for people of all ages and you can be assured of a warm welcome whether you are new to our Church or if you’ve been coming along since… well, for ever. We offer a blend of modern worship that we think you will enjoy. Come on your own, with a friend or with your family. Parents, bring your children; children, bring your grown-ups.
The theme of our service this week is Avoiding Temptation. The Bible reading is Matthew 4.1-11.
If you’re new to Church, just let someone know when you arrive and we will guide you through the service and answer any questions you might have. There’s always good coffee on hand (other drinks are available) after the service along with a biscuit or two. So do come and join us.

St Peter’s Church
Join us at St Peter’s for a service of Holy Communion using liturgy from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. This traditional service begins at 9.30am and includes hymns that are often led by a small choir. Whether you are new to Church or have been attending for many years, you will find that the words and music draw you close to the living God in worship and adoration.
On this first Sunday of Lent, we think about the temptations that Jesus faced. Our Bible readings will be Romans 5.12-19 and Matthew 4.1-11.
After the conclusion of our service, do stay to join us for tea and coffee served in the Antill Vestry at the back of Church when you will have the opportunity to chat to other members of the congregation and make new friends.
