An invitation for you…

Welcome to our website. We’d like to thank you for popping by and take this opportunity to invite you to join us for our public worship services in the coming days. They are open to all and everyone is welcome.
Our gathered worship is a key expression of our love for God and we believe that when we gather together, Jesus is with us and among us. This coming Sunday (18th January) there are services in both of our Churches and we would love to extend a welcome to you even if you have never been to Church before or if it has been a while since you have been with us.

Christ Church
Our service of Sunday Worship begins at 11am. Our services are suitable for people of all ages and you can be assured of a warm welcome whether you are new to our Church or if you’ve been coming along since… well, for ever. In our service today, we share in Holy Communion (bread and wine) remembering the Last Supper when Jesus took bread and wine and shared them with his disciples asking that they continue to do this in remembrance of him. There will also be the opportunity for those who like to receive prayers for healing – either for themselves or someone else – to do so. Our Bible Reading this week will be Isaiah 49.1-7. If you’re new to Church, just let someone know when you arrive and we will guide you through the service and answer any questions you might have. There’s always good coffee on hand (other drinks are available) and a biscuit or two. So do come and join us.

St Peter’s Church
Join us at St Peter’s for a service of Evening Prayer (Evensong) using liturgy from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. This traditional service includes hymns that are often led by a small choir. Whether you are new to Church or have been attending for many years, you will find that the words and music draw you close to the living God in worship and adoration. Our Bible Readings this week will be Psalm 40, Isaiah 40.1-7 & 1 Corinthians 1.1-9.

After the conclusion of our service, do stay to join us for tea and coffee served in the Antill Vestry at the back of Church when you will have the opportunity to chat to other members of the congregation and make new friends.
