An invitation for you…
Welcome to our website. We’d like to thank you for popping by and take this opportunity to invite you to join us for our public worship services in the coming days. They are open to all and everyone is welcome.
Our gathered worship is a key expression of our love for God and we believe that when we gather together, Jesus is with us and among us. This coming Sunday (7th December) we have services in both of our Churches and we would love to extend a welcome to you even if you have never been to Church before or if it has been a while since you have been with us.
Christ Church
This weekend is our Christmas Tree Festival so our Sunday Worship takes place amongst the trees. The service begins at 11am and includes Holy Communion (sharing of bread and wine). After our service, refreshments will be available free of charge in The Bower Room. Our Bible Reading will be Matthew 3.1-12. The service will be led by Revd Colin Resch.
St Peter’s Church
This Sunday we worship together at 9.30am with a service of Morning Prayer (also known as Matins) using the traditional language of The Book of Common Prayer. Our Bible Readings for the second Sunday of Advent will be Psalm 72.1-7, Isaiah 11.1-10 and Matthew 3.1-12. At the end of our service you are invited to stay for tea and coffee which will be served in the Antil Vestry.
