An invitation for you…
Welcome to our website. We’d like to thank you for popping by and take this opportunity to invite you to join us for our public worship services in the coming days. They are open to all and everyone is welcome.
Our gathered worship is a key expression of our love for God and we believe that when we gather together, Jesus is with us and among us. This coming Sunday (30 November) is Advent Sunday and we begin our countdown to Christmas. There are services in both of our Churches and you would be most welcome to join us – even if you’ve never been to Church before or if it’s been a while.
Christ Church
Our service begins at 11am and this week we give additional time for Sung worship and some extra time for teaching from the scriptures. Our Bible reading is from Romans 13.11-14. You may like to read this before you come. At Christ Church, there are always activities on hand for children and young people so whatever your age, you are welcome to join us. After the service you are invited to stay for tea and coffee served in The Bower Room.
St Peter’s Church
This week, for Advent Sunday, we have a service of hymns, readings and poems for Advent. This very special service helps to prepare us for the season of Advent and how to journey through Advent without rushing into Christmas. After the service you are welcome to stay and enjoy free refreshments served in the Antil Vestry.
