An invitation to you…
Welcome to our website. We’d like to thank you for popping by and take this opportunity to invite you to join us for our public worship services in the coming days. They are open to all and everyone is welcome.
Our gathered worship is a key expression of our love for God and we believe that when we gather together, Jesus is with us and among us. This coming Sunday (16th November) is Safeguarding Sunday and we will take the opportunity to pray for all who work to help make our Churches safe places for all who visit. We will also remember and pray for those who have suffered abuse of any kind.
Christ Church
Our Sunday worship beings at 11am and will include Holy Communion (sharing of bread and wine) and the opportunity to receive prayers for healing – either for yourself, or on behalf of someone else. Our Bible reading will be James 5.13-16. After the service, you are welcome to stay and enjoy free refreshments with us in the Bower Room.
St Peter’s Church
This Sunday, we meet for Evening Prayer (also known as Evensong) at 6pm. The words and music of this traditional form of worship, taken from the Book of Common Prayer, will draw us near to God in Worship. Our Bible readings for the service will be Psalm 91, Isaiah 43.1-3a and James 5.13-16. After the service you are welcome to stay for refreshments served in the Antil Vestry.
