An invitation for you…

Welcome to our website. We’d like to thank you for popping by and take this opportunity to invite you to join us for our public worship services in the coming days. They are open to all and everyone is welcome.
Our gathered worship is a key expression of our love for God and we believe that when we gather together, Jesus is with us and among us. This coming Sunday (9th November) is Remembrance Sunday and our services will give you the opportunity for reflection with an act of remembrance and time of silence included.

Christ Church
We begin our service this Sunday at 11am with a short act of remembrance, giving thanks to those who laid down their lives in service of their country. Then we invite you to grab a cuppa and stay with us for our all age worship led by Linda Vesty our Intergenerational Worker.

St Peter’s Church
Our Sunday morning worship begins at 9.30am and includes Holy Communion (sharing of bread and wine). The service will also include a short act of remembrance. Our Bible readings will be 2 Thessalonians 2.1-5, 13-17 and Luke 20.27-38. After the service, refreshments will be served in the Antil Vestry.

Royal British Legion (Mountsorrel Branch) Service of Remembrance
We are proud to host the annual RBL Service of Remembrance at St Peter’s Church on Sunday 9th November beginning at 3pm. The Church is always very full for this service so we recommend getting here early if you would like a seat. A parade will leave the Mountsorrel Memorial Centre at 2.30pm marching towards St Peter’s Church. After the service, the parade will form up and march back to The Green for dismissal. Refreshments will be served in the Mountsorrel Memorial Service after the dismissal of the parade and everyone is invited to join us.

Senior Sunday at St Peter’s
This month, we gather at the slightly later time of 4.30pm for our Senior Sunday tea. There will be no service in Church prior to our tea as we encourage you to join us for the service of remembrance at 3pm. However, you are welcome just to arrive at 4.30pm for tea if you wish to do so.
