An invitation for you…

Welcome to our website. We’d like to thank you for popping by and take this opportunity to invite you to join us for our public worship services in the coming days. They are open to all and everyone is welcome.
Our gathered worship is a key expression of our love for God and we believe that when we gather together, Jesus is with us and among us. This coming Sunday (19th October), there are services in both of our Churches and you are we would love to welcome you to any of them:

Christ Church
Our Sunday Worship begins at 11am and will include Holy Communion (sharing of bread and wine). Our Bible reading for the service will be 2 Timothy 3.14-4.5. During the service, there will be the opportunity for you to receive prayers for healing – either for yourself, or on behalf of someone else. If you have never been to one of our services before, there’s no need to be worried, just turn up a few minutes before 11am and a member of our welcome team will make sure that you have everything you need to enjoy the service. At the end, there will be free refreshments served in The Bower Room and everyone is welcome to stay to enjoy these.

St Peter’s Church
There’s no morning service at St Peter’s this week; instead we gather at 6pm for a service of Evening Prayer (also known as Evensong) using the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer. Whether you have been coming to Church for many years, or if it is your first time, we are sure that the words and music will help bring you closer to God. The Bible readings being used during the service are Psalm 121, Genesis 32.22-31 and 2 Timothy 3.14-4.5. There’s no need to read them in advance but, if you want to, you can click on the links to do so. After the service, tea and coffee will be served, free of charge, in the vestry. Please do stay if you want to.
